Platted by the Suburban Developers Co., in 1924, the area developed over the next 11 years as a prominent, independent residential area with its own water source and a park as its centerpiece. Streets have mostly Spanish names and the mostly mission and Mediterranean revival-style homes exhibit a Spanish influence.
