Q? I received a citation for an expired tag or no current
license plate, what do I do?
A. Send in a copy of your current registration
with the ticket, if your registration was valid at the time you
were cited, the cost of the citation will be reduced to $7.50 dollars.
If your registration was not valid at time of citation issuance,
the citation must be paid or make a request for a court date to
appear before a judge.

Q? I received a citation for parking in a handicap space,
what do I do, I am handicapped?
A. You can either send in or bring to the office
a copy of your handicap placard (both front and back), the handicap
placard registration and your driver’s license or I.D. card. The
cost of the citation will be reduced to $7.50 dollars. If you do
not have a handicap placard, you will either have to pay the citation
or request a court date to appear before a judge.

Q? The meter I parked at wasn’t working properly and I received
a citation, what do I do?
A. If you call the office within 96 hours (excluding
weekends and holidays) of receipt of the citation, a meter check
will be completed. If the meter was malfunctioning for any reason,
the citation will be administratively excused. If the meter is checked
and it was determined that the meter was functioning properly at
the time, the citation will have to be paid or you can request a
court date be set-up to appear before a judge.

Q? Where do I go to get a handicap placard?

for Disabled Person Parking Permit Placard. Once the application
is completed and signed by a physician, submit the form to your
local
tax collector's office with appropriate payment. In addition
to the completed form, be sure to bring:
- A copy of your Florida driver license or Florida identification
card.

Q? What is a City Card and where can I obtain one?
A. A City Card is a card that is utilized in lieu
of money to pay an electronic single-head meter. The card is inserted
into the meter, for each insertion $.25 is decremented from the
card. The minimum initial purchase of a City Card is $5. The City
Card is sold at the Division of Parking Administration. You can
reload the City Card for any denomination you wish after the initial
purchase. [

A. Meter rentals are available only for construction,
special events, and film/photo productions. The request for meter
rentals must be made 48 hours in advance and is to be utilized for
short-term purposes only. For information, please call the Division
of Parking Administration (561) 822-1500. Fees are $10.00 - $30.00
per day depending on location.

on location.

A. You must bring cash, credit card or a cashier’s check in the amount
stipulated on your warning sticker that was placed on your vehicle
24 hours prior to the boot/tow. If you need to verify the amount
